Storytelling Workshops

I love storytelling and firmly believe it can be a powerful tool to trigger imaginations and build skills. I run storytelling workshops for children and adults. Examples of my work include:

Story telling with children - usually a mix of reading from a book, as well as developing our own story as a group. This is my favourite approach as it lets the children take charge and their wonderful imaginations come to life. An example of a client includes the Wales Millennium Centre, I undertake this in both Welsh and English.

Storytelling with adults - storytelling is fantastic to engage adults in a range of subject and skills areas. For instance, I ran a 2 hour workshop with a large corporate client during their 100 strong staff conference. The purpose of the workshop was to create an engaging and enjoyable way for the staff to understand the new strategic aims of the company, understand their role within that, as well as the role of their immediate team.

I’ve also developed a 2 hour a week, 6 week long course for a public sector client for people in need of building confidence. In this case it was under-employed people who needed skills development - not in story telling but in confidence - the storytelling (both the writing and performing) was the vehicle to get them to where they needed to be.

I develop these sessions on a bespoke basis depending on the aims and needs of the client. I am full of ideas, keen to develop content that is fun but ultimately practical. Just get in touch to chat through.
