WORKSHOPS
Storytelling is a fantastic way to engage people in a range of subjects and issue areas. It can be a powerful tool to build skills & confidence, engage them in new ways of thinking, strengthen staff engagement, and align them to new approaches & organisational cultures.
Working with adults:
Staff engagement with new strategic plan: I ran a workshop with a large corporate client during their 100 strong staff conference. Using the art of story telling, the workshop created an engaging and enjoyable way for staff to understand the new strategic aims of the company, understand their role within that, as well as the role of their immediate team.
Skills development: I developed a 2 hour a week, 6 week long course for a public sector client. The aim was to work with under-employed people, using storytelling (both writing and performing) to help build confidence and public speaking skills. The course concluded with a small performance evening where each of the attendees performed some of their work in front of friends and family.
Working with children:
I run storytelling sessions for children. I read from books, as well as develop stories together as a group – this approach lets the children take charge and their wonderful imaginations really come to life.
An example of a client includes the Wales Millennium Centre, I undertake this in both Welsh and English.
I’ve also been hired as the entertainment for children’s parties.
